Brand extension

Red Hot Roasters needed more than just the logo, POS menu, and can labels that they had. They wanted to extend their brand to specialty bagged coffee, different sized menuboards for other locations, thank you cards, postcards and more.

Label options for a new specialty roast. They went with the bottom right-hand label.
I was asked to do something out of the “normal” brand parameters but still keep it brand compliant. Client request: “A mudflap girl holding coffee where Louisville is in Kentucky.” They were pleased with the final result and that is my main goal.
I was asked for a storefront sign for a location that is conceptually different, with a vintage main street feel. I kept it brand-compliant as I could by sticking to the original color palette.

These all look incredibly similar but are all built to sometimes minute different vendor specifications and franchise requirements. Whether the headline copy, gutter size or number of coupons is different, whether there is a tab or no tab, whether a location has wings available or not, each detail needs to be spot on to assure accuracy in printing and client satisfaction.

The slightest difference in size can alter proportions requiring adjustments to be made, resulting in versions upon versions. A keen eye for detail and willingness to double and triple-check each component is needed. As well as an excess of patience and persistence (and the occasional celebratory bourbon upon a job well done).
